Showing is a new dance-theater work by HoneyWorks and Hatch Dance, premiering in Downtown Minneapolis July 8–12, 2026.

Stepping into an unfamiliar space, audiences are invited into a shifting world of imagined rooms, remembered places, and embodied landscapes. Moving between architecture and emotion, Showing explores how spaces hold memory, shape identity, and carry stories across time.

The work is the fifth collaboration between choreographer-directors Berit Ahlgren and Helen Hatch.

Know before you go

To help your evening go smoothly, here are a few details to know before you arrive:

Parking

Parking is available in the Bassett Creek building parking lot at North 3rd Street and 8th Avenue. If the lot is full, there is plenty of metered street parking nearby.

Finding the Venue

The primary entrance for our production is through the alley behind the building. You will find a loading dock and garage door about halfway down the building from the parking lot (there are blue lights around it!). If you need an accessible entrance or assistance, please enter through the main building entrance adjacent to the parking lot, instead. The performance takes place in Suite 156, home of The Modern Rep.

Please Arrive on Time

Because of the intimate nature of this performance and our unique venue, we are unable to seat late arrivals. If something unexpected comes up, we'll do our best to transfer your tickets to another performance, as space allows.

Performance Details

The performance runs approximately 1 hour with no intermission. Seating is General Admission.

A Note About the Experience

Showing is performed in an intimate, non-traditional performance space where the audience is invited into the world of the work. While you won't be required to participate, you'll be seated close to the performers, making for a uniquely immediate and immersive experience.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located inside the building in the main hallway. If you need help finding them, just ask one of our team members.

Refreshments

Wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be available by donation before the performance. We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing outside food or drinks into the theater.

Make an Evening of It

The North Loop is full of wonderful restaurants, cafés, and bars if you'd like to enjoy dinner or drinks before or after the performance.

We are deeply grateful that you'll be sharing this experience with us. Thank you for supporting new dance and the artists who bring it to life.

If you have any questions before you arrive, please don't hesitate to reach out to bcahlgren@gmail.com or hatchdancemn@gmail.com

.

We look forward to welcoming you to Showing!

Warmly,

Berit + Helen
